Nigeria Suspends Pilgrimages to Israel and Mecca Amid Middle East Conflict

Due to the conflicts in the Middle East, Nigeria stopped all Christian pilgrimages to visit Israel and West Bank. This move has taken due to the safety concerns over  ongoing war in the region. More than 6000 pilgrims have already been evacuated from Israel. The ban will remain in effect until the conditions become safe to travel. In addition, the flights for Muslim pilgrims, going to Mecca for Umrah are also affected, leaving many stranded.
